Sol y Mar (“Sun and Sea”) is one of the oldest lodgings in Mancora, little village located on the north coast of Peru, famous for its good surfing waves and the amazing weather all year long.
Sol y Mar offer more than 60 rooms, is the biggest hostel in all Mancora.
The Sol y Mar hostel have not change their style in all this years: low rates, special for backpackers or young tourists coming from Europe, North America and South America, as well as family with kids.

Location:

Sol y Mar is located at seashore, on the kilometer 1165 of the Panamerican Highway, Piura department, at only 180 kms from Ecuador - Peru border.
Once you get at Mancora, on the main road (Panamerican Highway), there is a little detour towards the sea (100 mts. north from Cabo Blanco Bridge), where people, moto taxis and some vehicles transit. At the end of this road you will find Sol y Mar, at seashore, almost in front of Mancora’s surf point.

 

Mancora:

Mancora has been slowly creating a space on the trips of the national and foreign tourists. The people who know Mancora have already known its kindness: sun all year, great waves and warm water. A lot of the tourists that visit Mancora they do it because it is a strategic point close to Ecuador’s border. It is impossible to resist staying at least two days on the warm sand of Mancora, before continuing the trip to Ecuador or to the rest of Peru.

Sol y Mar:

The best thing about Mancora, apart of its prices, is its location. Few meters separate Sol y Mar from the sand and sea.

The place is located right in front of Mancora beach, on one of the entrance at 50 mts from the surf point. By the other hand, Sol y Mar is just five minutes away walking to Mancora’s downtown.

The place offer:

- Swimming pool.
- Bar Restaurant (and some night in Discotheque).
- Private parking.
- Ping-pong, mini football.

Rooms:

There are single, double, triple, quadruple and sextuple rooms.

All the rooms have private bathroom, electric light and permanent water.

In Sol y Mar there are also a few rooms with a nice view to the ocean.


Restaurant:

Sol y Mar has a complete restaurant service, with a great variety of delicious plates, where the shellfish and pastas are the specialty.

The two bars offer beers, sodas and natural juices.

Some weekends Sol y Mar organize parties, and the restaurant is transformed in a bar-discotheque, where tourists, even from other hotels, enjoy and dance to the rhythm of a “salsa” or a “reggae”.
