Playa Pocitas, Mancora<\/p><\/div>\n

Mancora beach, located in the province of Talara, Piura region, was the winner of one of the World Travel Awards (WTA) this 2016. Mancora and beaches like Pocitas, won in the category of \u00abbest beach destination in South America.\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00abIt is an honor to receive such high distinction that adorns an entire people, where every day, with the rest of authorities, business and citizens in general, great efforts are made to boost the tourism industry and keep our district as one of the best tourist destinations in the world\u00bb, said the current mayor of Mancora, Florencio Olibos, who received the prize in Lima.<\/p>\n

The public chose as the best South American Mancora Resort\u00a0with their votes via web, from 7 March to 6 May 2016. Mancora\u00a0competed with destinations like Easter Island (Chile), San Andres (Colombia), Mar del Plata (Argentina) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).<\/p>\n
